KFT is 9 Months Old!

Our little boy is nine months old today!

KFT has grown in the following ways:

Weight at Birth  7 lbs. 6 oz.       Weight at 9 Months  22 lbs. 10 oz.

Height at Birth  19 in.                Height at 9 Months    28.25 in.

Baby Boy was really on track to becoming a solid nighttime sleeper, but unfortunately, he caught a stomach bug this past month.  Three weeks in, and he wakes up for a new diaper in the middle of the night.  Every few days, he will sleep til 5am, but we are simply hoping that the virus will take the hint and leave!  Poor guy needs to feel settled and get better sleep!

Bubbie has definitely shown a case of the mommies at school this month.  Don't be fooled.  He loves school.  It just the moment or two when he is passed off that the bottom lip sticks out and the tears begin to fall.  He can certainly pull at one's heart strings!

Big Boy is feeding himself puffs at this point, and loves eating bites of tomatoes from Daddy's salads.  Foods have been more of a challenge this month due to the stomach issues, but he has no loss of appetite for bottles.

Sweet Boy is a full blown crawler, and he is fast!  Just a few days after he began to crawl, he also pulled up.  It is now one of his favorite things to do.  Stand!  He is so proud of himself too!

  

KFT loves to play with anything that his big sister is playing with, but is easily distracted with objects that he can put in his mouth (ie. anything that she doesn't want at the moment.  He likes books, but, again, prefers them in his mouth rather than in view.  At least we know he likes them!  Ha!

KFT is 8 Months Old!

Our little boy is eight months old today!

KFT is still sleeping until about 5:00am every night after going to bed at around 6:30pm.  During the day, he will easily skip naps if we are busy running errands or doing something that is engaging.  As long as he is fed, he is a happy baby!

Sweet Bubbie is becoming more and more of a Mama's Boy.  He will be playing and look up every few minutes to make sure that Mama is still in the room.  If not, he'll lean over and try to look around whatever is in his way to try and find her.  The slight grin that comes with it is so precious.

Buddy's four teeth are definitely the main attraction this month.  He bites everything in sight, and often times it hurts!  He is becoming more accustomed to pureed food, but definitely prefers milk.  Some of the foods he likes include green beans and sweet potatoes.  Fruits are not his favorite.

Just today, Baby Brother began to crawl.  He got about four strides in before dropping to his belly for the more efficient army crawl, but none the less, he crawled!  

KFT has begun to actually play this month.  Instead of just seeing a toy and picking it up, he deliberately looks for something and then manipulates for fun.  He especially enjoys toys that make music.  He starts dancing instantly!

KFT is 7 Months Old!

Our little boy is seven months old today!

Sleeping through the night is something KFT is definitely working on.  A week of tough love gave way to sleeping from 7:30pm-4am (ish).  Some nights he will sleep till the 6am goal, and others he will wake up at 2am.  We shouldn't be surprised with this lack of consistency.  It is definitely the way he is!  But hey, he is sleeping longer which, in turn, means that mommy and daddy are sleeping longer!  Hooray!

Our sweet son is still very sweet.  He smiles and giggles now more than ever.  While he still allows anyone hold him, he certainly prefers mommy.  That does not break her heart one bit!

Bubbie now has his two front bottom teeth.  They are so cute!  He can sit up on his own without any assistance until he starts playing with something that is not attached to anything.  Because of that, he bonks his head now more than ever!  Once he is down, he spins around until he can reach whatever it is that he wants.  He is also showing signs of wanting to crawl.  He gets on all fours and hitches.  He's also beginning to get up on his hands and toes just like his sister used to do.  Yoga!

Food has been another adventure that Bub has tried this month.  He is still learning how to take it in, but once it gets past his tongue, he loves it!  While he hasn't completely rejected anything, apples and pears are not his favorite.  Sweet potatoes, squash, and bananas are top on the list though.

Brother still loves his Johnny Jump Up, but has no preference for any toys.  As long as he can put it in his mouth, he likes it. He's not picky!  What he does prefer is his sister.  This sweet boy lights up the moment she pays attention to him.  He just can't get enough of her!
