KFT is 4 Months Old!

Our little boy is four months old today!

KFT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth  7 lbs. 6 oz.       Weight at 4 Months  17 lbs. 10 oz.
Height at Birth  20 in.                Height at 4 Months   25 in.

Bubby is HUGE!  I mean, seriously!  This kid has thighs for days!  I am confident that this is a direct result of eating at least every two hours around the clock.  We are exhausted, but the kid is legitimately hungry.  He's not just snacking at 11pm, 1am, 3am, and 5am.  He's eating!  Let's hope that he settles down soon, or mommy and daddy are going to be zombies.

KFT can light up a room.  His sweet smile, bright eyes, and puffy cheeks are too darn cute.  He squeals with delight as if he wants to giggle.  He chats as much as he can when his hands are not in his mouth.  He loves his hands so much that he gags himself sometimes.  God love him!

Homeboy's mouth is officially the place where everything goes-hands, toys, burp cloths, you name it!  However, with that has come the drool.

He can hold his head up  and will push himself up on his arms during tummy time.  KFT can sit in the Bumbo, but I don't think he's too comfortable.  He's simply too big!  Being held is still his most preferred place to be.  (Bummer!)

KFT started daycare this month with his big sister.  He adapted quickly.  Everyone comments on what a happy baby he is.  We are so lucky!

Bubby's favorite new places is in his exersaucer and the Johnny Jump Up.  His core and legs are getting stronger and stronger with each day.

It's amazing to watch as Sister and Brother begin to really interact.  Once his eyes focus on her, it's hard to grab his attention.  They are truly beginning to fall in love with each other.  And for that, we are so grateful.

KFT is 3 Months Old!

Our little boy is three months old today!

Our sweet Bubbie has really begun to sleep more this month!  Hooray!  He will sleep for about 4 straight hours consistently through the night.  Sometimes he will even treat Mommy and Daddy to 6!
He still eats every 2.5-3 hours or so during the day, but we're totally fine with that if it means we all get a full night's sleep.

Buddy has also come alive this month!  He is smiling more than ever and kicking his legs like it's going out of style.  Of course, he smiles the moment he hears Mommy's voice, and that doesn't break her heart one bit.  KFT also has started cooing a lot.  His eyes smile, and his sweet mouth makes a circle.  The sound that comes out is so precious!

KFT has begun putting his hands in his mouth too.  In fact, he's quite the slobbery little guy.  We might have to invest in some more bibs as part of his everyday attire.  Tummy time is still not his favorite, but he can hold his head up.  When propped up on his arms, he can hold his chest up for a few minutes too.  He continues to prefer begin held facing in and looking over our shoulders.  Because of this, he has no problem holding his head up on his own.

Some of KFT's favorite things are his Mommy, laying on the changing table, listening to his sister read, the swing.  Oh goodness, the swing!  This kid lives in it!

KFT is 2 Months Old

Our little boy is two months old today!

KFT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth  7 lbs. 6 oz.       Weight at 2 Months  13 lbs. 2 oz.
Height at Birth  19 in.                Height at 2 Months   22.25 in.

Our sweet boy is growing like a weed!  While he does not have a set schedule, he likes to eat every 2-3 hours during the day.  At night, he goes to bed around 9 or 10pm and sleeps for about 4 hours before waking up to eat again.  Then, he will wake up again about 2 hours later.  Around 6 or 7am, he will wake up, yet again, to eat and begin the day.  He is definitely an eater! :/

Developmentally, Bubby is progressing just fine.  He kicks his legs, stands on our laps, and is beginning to smile.  He is a pretty serious guy.  While we are still working on releasing his grasp so he will grab things, KFT can hold his head up for a few seconds while on his tummy.  He turns his head to look toward mommy's voice.  We are still working on daddy!

Finally, KFT was dedicated this month at Beargrass.  Both sets of grandparents were there to help celebrate the occasion. We are so fortunate to have such a large and supportive church family to help us raise our sweet babies.
