RLT is 4 Months Old!

Our little girl is four months old today!

RLT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth  6 lbs. 5 oz.       Weight at 4 Months  13 lbs. 4 oz.
Height at Birth  19.75 in.           Height at 4 Months   23.5 in.

Our sweet angel is getting so big.  Seriously, this girl has been packing it away this month to the point where she has woken up at 3am almost every night for a full meal!  Maybe it's because she misses mommy during the day now that she's back at work.  Maybe it's because she gets bored of trying to get herself back to sleep.  Or maybe it's simply because the girl needed the nutrients to grow!  Whatever the reason, let's hope that she reverts back to her full nights of sleep real soon!

RLT is definitely a bundle of joy.  Her giggle is not full blown quite yet, but it definitely has a few syllables to it!  It's accompanied by those sweet blond/red eyebrows that lift has high as possible and those eyes that smile right along with her mouth.  She coos all of the time now.  She even makes those sweet sounds while half of her hand is in her mouth!

Sweet Girl's mouth is officially the place where everything goes-hands, toys, burp cloths, you name it!  However, with that has come the drool.

She can hold her head up for a couple of minutes and will push herself up on her arms during tummy time.  RLT can sit up with assistance on our laps or in her Bumbo seat.  Facing out is still her preferred position when being held.  She wants to roll over so badly!   It's like she's doing the Twist.  She kicks her legs really hard now when she is playing or really excited.  You can hear the house rumble a little bit when she does it in her crib.  That girl is strong!

RLT started childcare this month.  While this was really hard for Mommy and Daddy, our little Bugaboo adapted quickly.  She spends the morning with Daddy getting ready, singing, and giggling.  Such a sweet a precious time of the day.  Then, it's off to church where she hangs out with Dodi and two of her little ones.

Baby Girl's favorite new place is in her exersaucer.  Her core is getting stronger and stronger with each day.  She can't quite reach all of the different toys yet, but she sure loves being upright!

It's so neat to see how much she develops each and every month. New life is definitely a learning experience for EVERYbody involved! :)

Do the Twist

This week has been interesting.  We had a Snow Day in March for which I was able to spend the day with RLT!  Couldn't have been happier!  Chad went back to work.  RLT went through a growth spurt.  By growth spurt I mean she ate three times before 6am for several days!  Yawn!  And sadly, we lost our dear Mrs. Shellie.  This sweet woman was part of the Bridge Group that we sub for occasionally.  Her and her husband, Moe, were the ones who taught us to play a few years ago.  Dear Shellie, you will be missed!

On a more exciting note, RLT is on the verge of rolling over.  It's like she's doing the Twist!  Dodi says that during the day she watches her one year old with eagerness.  It's like she wants to be out there moving around but doesn't know how just yet.  We are so glad that our little one has other little ones to watch and interact with.  Having Dodi and her kiddos in our lives is so wonderful!

My Daddy is a Rockstar!

As everyone knows, Chad is a rockstar!  Yep!  Since 2007, he has tirelessly gone to school.  The past 12 months, in particular, have been the hardest.  Not only did he finish up law school, but he also studied his tail off for a little exam called the Bar.  Luckily he found some space at a coffee shop so that the sweet face of our daughter would not distract him.

He did, though, find a few moments to show just how excited he was about studying!

While no one is more anxious about getting the results than he, RLT and I are pretty confident!

We would like to thank everyone who sent positive vibes his way.  He is so grateful.  Also, thank you to Mom and Gary for the Brain Food dinner and helping with RLT while Chad was in Lexington!  You all are amazing!

This week was also special because RLT was able to meet "the girls"!  These fine ladies and I have been friends since middle and high school.  While we don't get together as often as we'd like, it was definitely a blast having lunch!

And, while Chad was spewing legal mumbo-jumbo from his brain, your tax dollars were hard at work.  It was Centerfield's annual Teacher-Student basketball game.  I'm proud to say, that because we all played our very best, the teachers won!  (not by much, though!)
