Grandparents!

This was a wonderful week of grandparents!  Grammy came up for the week to look for a house again.  We have our fingers crossed!  It was so nice to enjoy some more time with her.  RLT had the chance to show off her new rolling skills, tooth, and even how well she make a dirty diaper!  Grammy was a real champ!
Buga also turned six moths old this week!  Where has the time gone?  I get it now!  I really get it!

At the end of the week, Chad and I went to the wedding of a dear friend Patrick.  Mike performed the ceremony, and Heather also helped coordinate it all.  We rode together, laughed together, ate together, drank together, pumped together, dumped together, and then called it a night at about 2:30!  Thanks Grandma Honey Dearie and Pop for keeping our precious little one so that we could pretend we were 21 again!  It was so much fun!

RLT is 6 Months Old!

Our little girl is six months old today!

RLT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth  6 lbs. 5 oz.       Weight at 6 Months  15 lbs. 8 oz.
Height at Birth  19.75 in.           Height at 6 Months   24.25 in.

Our sweet baby girl continues to sleep through the night.  She has the same schedule as last month - sleep from 7:45pm-5:00am, eat, and go right back to sleep until 7:30am.  She naps for various lengths of time in the morning, afternoon, and early evening depending on the day.  She lays down awake after reading a story and singing You Are My Sunshine.  She talks and kicks herself to sleep all while sucking her sleeve.  Don't make the mistake of putting her to bed in short sleeves!  That girl loves fabric!

Buga is so happy!  For the most part, and we really mean it, she only cries when she is tired or hungry. She's content to ride in the car, walk around on your hip, play independently and coo in her bed before and after sleep.  We truly feel lucky that her demeanor is so pleasant!

Baby Turner continues to put everything in her mouth.  She's really sweet when she grabs our fingers and puts them in her mouth, but that is not 100% awesome anymore...because she got her FIRST TOOTH!  Yep!  Our little one's first tooth came in this month on the bottom.  She cried twice for maybe 5 minutes or so. Other than that, she handled it like a champ!  Also, she has mastered rolling from her back to her tummy.  She is pushing up and making small motions with her legs like she wants to go somewhere  She can sit up on her own for short bits when she leans on her legs like a tripod.

Homegirl now loves to look at the world upside down.  Whether daddy is dangling her upside down, or whether she stretches back in her johnny-jump-up, RLT loves looking at things from a different perspective.  She also gets grumpy when mommy leaves the room. Hopefully she's not developing early onset separation anxiety!

Finally, our sweet girl loves any type of music.  She loves when daddy sings Rise and Shine to her in the morning and when mommy sings Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes to her at night.  She also likes banging on the exersaucer buttons that play songs.  She will stop what she is doing when she hears a tune that she likes.  We can't wait until she starts making her own music!

A Big Week for the Turners

This was a big week for the Turners.

Chad had his Swearing In ceremony in Frankfort.  It was so nice!  The Kentucky Supreme Court Justices, the Speaker of the House, and many other dignitaries were there to officially swear him in.  He had to stand, raise his right hand, and promise never to dual!  It was great!  Thanks, Grandma Honey Dearie for going so that RLT could make all the noise she wanted outside of the Chamber!

Chad also started a garden.  We are so excited to eat tomatoes, cucumbers, red and green peppers, and hopefully strawberries in 80-90 days!

As far as our little girl goes, she did not disappoint!  RLT got her first tooth AND rolled over from back to tummy on the same day Chad was sworn in!  It was almost like she was trying to one-up him!

At the end of the week, we went up to Indy to visit Gi-Gi, Aunt Jodi, Erin, Caitlin, and all the men and babies that go along with them.  We had such a nice time eating and visiting!  There were four kiddos, and it was kind of weird because RLT was one of the oldest.  Caitlin's little boy is 3, and she and Erin both had new babies this year.  What a difference a year makes!
