Bourbon Chase

          The week started off by celebrating our first Halloween at the Louisville Zoo.  RLT and I went with the Tremaynes.  Unfortunately, Chad had to work that evening.  :(

          Chad completed the Bourbon Chase this weekend.  It was a 200 mile race that his team of 12 completed.  They ran 15-20 miles each over the span of 36 hours.  It was quite impressive!  While RLT and I were not there to see it, we were certainly cheering him on from Indy as we were cleaning out some of my Grandma Honey Dearie's house.  I'm sure Chad didn't mind having all of the hot water and all of the bed to himself this weekend after a race like that!  Way to go, Babe!
         This week has marked a few firsts for Bugga.  She has said her first word!  Bye Bye!  It is so sweet.  We're also thinking that she might be saying MaMa purposefully, but we're not quite sure if it's still babble.  Homegirl also pulled up to her feet this week.  Chad saw it-lucky guy!  We are so thrilled with the sweet personality that is developing every single day!

RLT is 11 Months Old!

Our little girl is eleven months old today!

Our sweet little girl continues to sleep through the night.  Her naps, however have become more of a chatting session between her and herself!  We absolutely love sitting at the bottom of the stairs listening to her jab away about this and that.  She doesn't cry for us to get her out of bed. She is perfectly content with her alone time!  Again, we are so lucky!

Bugga officially CRAWLS everywhere!  Her little tush swishes back and forth as fast as her legs will take her!  She loves following others around.  She also loves crawling away and being chased.  Her mouth opens into it's biggest smile once you catch her!  Baby Girl can also pull herself up to her knees. Every once in a while she'll put her foot on the floor, but it doesn't go much further than that.

Buddy has branched out in her food choices.  She likes all things with cheese!  Imagine that!  She really likes to hold on to and eat cheese sticks!  Strawberry breakfast bars are a hit, but don't even think about the blueberry ones!  She is definitely a meal-girl though.  She likes the meat-veggie or meat-fruit combos of baby food.  I guess it's now time to start introducing the real things!

Baby Girl loves music, dancing to said music, pulling up on anything, the kitchen drawers, shoes, and the zippers on her sleep sacks.  She will point to her sleep sack before it's time for bed to make sure we don't forget to put it on her!  She likes taking walks and going places where she can watch people.  She truly is a happy baby!

More of a Snuggler

          This week RLT has begun pulling up to her knees and inching closer to things while up there. It is so cute to see her approach a large toy box, grab the sides, rise up, and then shimmy her little knees closer so she can reach the toy in the very bottom!  That girl can be determined!
          Also this week, Bugga's snuggles have become more of just that, snuggles!  We have been waiting for this for almost eleven months!!!  She now lets us rock her while she lays her head on our chests or shoulders.  (Caveat: We have stolen snuggles from her like this by lifting her very carefully out of her crib while she is sleeping! But this week it has been while she is awake!)  A few times she put her cheek against mine while we were cuddling before bedtime too!  These moments are just bliss!  This is not to say that our Little Love isn't sweet and affectionate.  It's just that she has never quite been a kid who melts into your body when it's time to relax.  Needless to say, we are soaking up every moment we can!
