Week 37

37 Weeks. That's a lot of weeks!  You'd think we'd be able to see the finish line, but, alas, the uncertainty of pregnancy is killing us!  We have completely prepared the house for our new arrival.  Furniture is in place and ready to be used. Clothes are cleaned and ready to be worn. Diapers are prepared, ready to be poopied.  We can't wait. We are ready to become three.

By the same token, but for completely different reasons, one of us is ready to be over this whole pregnancy thing.  Take a wild guess who that might be.

Leigh just cannot get comfortable. A common complaint of women enduring pregnancy, I'm sure, but as the baby has grown, Leigh has quickly run out of space to store the growing little one.  She is so uncomfortable, in fact, that I have become uncomfortable by association. How am I supposed to watch the evening news when someone is constantly shifting on the couch next to me trying to get comfortable? How am I supposed to enjoy my dinner when someone at the table is grumpy and constantly wincing?  How am I supposed to sleep when someone is moaning and groaning as they pace at the foot of my bed?  This pregnancy thing is tough! I'm not sure I'll want to go through all of this again.

I'm sure I'll forget all about Leigh's misery the minute I lay eyes on.......

Gotcha! You thought I was going to reveal the name just then, didn't you? Too bad! You'll just have to endure like me and Leigh for the next few weeks, days, hours.....  We're almost there!

Week 36 - Celebrating with Even More Women

It has been an amazing week of celebrations both with my girl friends from my childhood as well as my friends from work.  Our daughter is going to be one lucky girl having all of these awesome women in her life!

Wesleigh hosted a lovely dinner at Napa River Grill.  There's nothing quite as special as spending an evening with people who have known each other for over 20 years!  Man, I feel old just saying that!
Thanks, girls!  You all are the best!

One afternoon at my school, we celebrated Baby Girl with a beautiful cake and snacks.  My teammates hosted, and I felt so honored and special.  It was perfect!
Thanks Deborah!
Thanks Michelle!

I love my Centerfield family!

Week 35 - Beargrass Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago, Laura and Terrianne hosted a shower for Baby Girl at Beargrass.  It was so lovely.  They truly outdid themselves.  Alison helped with food, and so many wonderful women in my life came to celebrate this sweet bundle that is due to arrive soon!

Yummy cake pops made by Laura and the wooden blocks made by Jeremy

So much delicious food...and it was beautiful!

Thank you Craft Night at Laura's!

Writing special notes to Baby T.

Everyone was so serious during this assignment! ha!

"How to be a Mean Mother" hung at our house growing up...where shall it hang in our home now?

In lieu of cards, people were asked to bring books.  Baby Girl's library is so big!!!

Grandma Honey Dearie and G-G (my mom and grandma) gave us a beautiful gown and bonnet for Baby Dedication.

Thanks Laura and Terrianne for such a lovely afternoon!

We are so excited!  Can you tell?

Lovely ladies

Thanks girls, you are the best!

Week 34 - New Wheels for the Ladies

This year has certainly seen a lot of change for us!  Graduating Law School, new job for Chad, new house, new baby on the way, and now new wheels!
