Week 37
37 Weeks. That's a lot of weeks! You'd think we'd be able to see the finish line, but, alas, the uncertainty of pregnancy is killing us! We have completely prepared the house for our new arrival. Furniture is in place and ready to be used. Clothes are cleaned and ready to be worn. Diapers are prepared, ready to be poopied. We can't wait. We are ready to become three.
By the same token, but for completely different reasons, one of us is ready to be over this whole pregnancy thing. Take a wild guess who that might be.
Leigh just cannot get comfortable. A common complaint of women enduring pregnancy, I'm sure, but as the baby has grown, Leigh has quickly run out of space to store the growing little one. She is so uncomfortable, in fact, that I have become uncomfortable by association. How am I supposed to watch the evening news when someone is constantly shifting on the couch next to me trying to get comfortable? How am I supposed to enjoy my dinner when someone at the table is grumpy and constantly wincing? How am I supposed to sleep when someone is moaning and groaning as they pace at the foot of my bed? This pregnancy thing is tough! I'm not sure I'll want to go through all of this again.
I'm sure I'll forget all about Leigh's misery the minute I lay eyes on.......
Gotcha! You thought I was going to reveal the name just then, didn't you? Too bad! You'll just have to endure like me and Leigh for the next few weeks, days, hours..... We're almost there!
