RLT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth 6 lbs. 5 oz. Weight at 18 Months 24 lbs. 9 oz.
Height at Birth 19.75 in. Height at 18 Months 31.5 in.
It seems like our little angel is developing at the speed of light! Her skills and personality are blossoming daily. In fact, the only trait that she got from her mother is her sense organization. This girl loves the Clean Up song. She loves putting things back where they belong. If something is out of place like a stuffed animal in the middle of the floor she might even pick it up on her way to do something else. Might! On top of her tidiness, RLT has a ready smile. She grins and laughs often. Even her sweet eyes smile.
Baby Girl is definitely on the move now. It's so fun because she walks with such purpose like she has such important things to do. If this is foreshadowing of any sort, she is definitely going to go through life on a mission! She thinks she is a master of walking so much so that she is attempting to run. This doesn't always end well, but Bugga is tough. She whimpers for a brief second or two, and then she's at it again. As far as stairs go, she is beginning to want to step instead of crawl. Her legs aren't quite long enough yet, but that certainly doesn't keep her from trying. (Insert Daddy's heart leaping from his chest!)
Sweetheart has 14 teeth now. Her tastes are changing as she is developing. While she's not completely picky, she no longer prefers green beans and sweet potatoes. She still doesn't like salad, but she gives it a try every time we put it in front of her. This makes us so proud! Homegirl continues to love berries, spaghetti, grilled cheese, and even spicy Mexican food. She is the hungriest in the mornings when she wakes up from her 13 hours of straight sleep. (We know we are the luckiest parents in the world!) The girl will pound a breakfast bar, some cheese, and even half of a banana before she heads off to Dodi for the day.

RLT has become the parrot in our house. Her language is exploding! She is just now beginning to put two words together with prompting from Mommy and Daddy. She can say more please with her voice and sign language. Just the other day, I told her that her shirt was too small, and out of her mouth came too sma. I was shocked! She knows too many animal sounds to count and loves seeing them at the zoo. She says hi to them all and then makes their sound! And finally, our favorite thing that she says is la la yooooh (I love you)!
Now that it is springtime, most of our love's favorite things revolve around being outside. She asks to ride her bike every time we pull in the driveway. She throws her balls and chases after them. This actually keeps her occupied for 20 or so minutes! She also loves going to the park. Two of her favorite things are there - the slide and her boyfriend, Aiden. They are so cute. They just grin and chase each other around. They've hugged and even held hands. It is just too cute!
Girlfriend has begun to embrace her inner fashionista. She absolutely loves an accessory. From hair bows and necklaces, to purses and shoes, BabyGirl cannot resist the chance to add to her wardrobe. This does not bode well for the future Turner budget.
In sharp contrast, however, Reb cannot stand to have her shoes on in the car. Within 2 minutes of embarking on any trip, no matter the length, both of her shoes come off and are slung across the back seat of the car. Her socks soon follow. The game then becomes, "how much toe jam can I find to show Mommy or Daddy?" Thankfully there's not enough to hold her attention very long!
We love our rapidly growing girl more and more every day. What a joy it is to see her absorb and interact with the world around her.
I wish I could spend more time with this sweet girl. She is precious! Happy 1/2 birthday!
