Sitting Tall

While RLT has been able to sit up on her own for quite some time, it was on this day that she pushed herself to the sitting position all on her own!  She did it three times in a row at Aunt Laura's house this weekend.  Daddy has yet to see it, but we're sure she will do it again!
Also, this week, Bugga has spent more time hitching back and forth on her hands and knees than ever before.  She looks as if she might move one her knees forward to crawl but then lays back down on her belly to army crawl.  She's getting so close!

Unfortunately, our precious little girl caught Mommy's cold.  She has miserably rubbed her little nose raw.  Her eyes water, and those little sneezes are quite productive.  Poor thing!  On another health-note, we have opted to stop her vitamin intake for a while.  We think the iron is causing, or should I say not causing, her to be balanced.  Hopefully things will get easier for her in the days to come.
Daddy started a new job at Target this week.  He's still drumming up some business in his own Law Practice, but this will help also.  What a family man!

40 Weeks In 40 Weeks Out

RLT has spent just as much time outside of my belly as she did in it!  I can't believe it!

This week was Mommy's first day of Kindergarten!  Yes, folks, I was given the option and took it.  While first weeks back at school are always physically demanding, I now have a new appreciation for every Kindergarten teacher in the world.  Oh. My. Gosh!  I have to say, though, it is fun!  Singing all day long really keeps you in a good mood!

Also, this week we received an amazing gift.  A wonderful family from Park called to see if we would be interested in their piano.  Little did they know, Chad has been scouring Craig's List for about a year for a free yet good one for our home.  I only had one condition.  It had to be a dark wood color.  Hooray it was!  To top that, they even delivered it with four men to move it that afternoon!  You seriously can't ask for more!  We are so excited to now be able to share in Chad's gift!  Thanks Morrises!

RLT is 9 Months Old!

Our little girl is nine months old today!

RLT has grown in the following ways:
Weight at Birth  6 lbs. 5 oz.       Weight at 9 Months  17 lbs. 1 oz.
Height at Birth  19.75 in.           Height at 9 Months    26.5 in.

Baby Girl is a rock star of a sleeper and flexible at that!  We decided to extend her night time zzz's by pushing her to sleep through her 5:00am feeding to about 7:00am.  One night of crying for about an hour and our girl was on a new routine!  But, with mommy going back to work, she can't quite make it til 8:00am when she would get with Dodi to eat.  So, we have gone back to a 5:30 or 6:00 feeding and then a more delightful awakening for Daddy at 7:30.  Maybe we're spoiling her, but it works for our family!

Bugga has a full-blown case of the Mommies.  She can show off her crocodile tears within seconds of being handed to someone else.  This is more so the case as the afternoon and evening progresses.  Our little love is definitely a morning girl!

Buddy has six teeth and uses them to bite off pieces of melon and some of the cucumbers from Daddy's garden.  She's still experimenting with pureed foods.  Her favorites right now are warmed carrots and those puffs that dissolve in your mouth.  She's starting to use her pinchers to feed herself.

While RLT still rolls on occasion, she has progressed to army crawling.  She will also get up on her hands and knees and start hitching back and forth.  It is so cute!

Sweet Girl is a dancer now.  She loves music.  Her eyes light up, her hips start moving, and her hands bounce up and down.  Sometimes she will wave and clap with others too.  She loves toys that rattle and is developing a preference for duck toys over other stuffed animals.  She also gravitates toward books when she is playing.  (Of course, this makes her mommy and daddy very proud!)

Mommy Went Back to Work

While Mommy was here...
Thanks to all those who donated time or resources (Grammy, Grandma Honey Dearie, Chad, and Deborah)!

Daddy and RLT had some quality time at home.

Enjoying the End of Summer

This was pretty much our last week of summer.  As the school year approaches, much of my time will be spent organizing and decorating my room, sitting in meetings, and trying to figure out what I'm going to do with a classroom full of little ones.  So, this week, RLT and I did nothing!  It was awesome!  Played, snuggled, napped, ate...perfect days that are definitely cherished.

We also went to a wedding on Saturday of a precious couple from church.  We had so much fun with everyone!
