My Grandma Honey-Dearie quickly declined this week. When I returned to Indy on Friday, I was shocked. I got there at about 10am. Only a couple of times did she show any recognition of who I was. I showed her a video that RLT had made for her that very morning, and Gi-Gi seemed to recognize her.
That afternoon, Grandma Honey Dearie was moved to a wonderfully compassionate Hospice facility. The nurses and doctors have an approach that is far different than in a hospital setting. While our hearts were breaking, it was comforting to be in such a place that our beloved was so cared for.
