We got a call on Friday that my Grandma Honey-Dearie (Gi-Gi) went to the hospital due to shortness of breath. Mom and I raced up there that night and learned some sad news. Our beloved had Stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized into her bones. This explains the great deal of neck and hip pain that she has had for the past month and a half.
The weekend was spent learning about Grandma's disease, visiting with family from Indy, and then bringing RLT up to see Gi-Gi. I will cherish the sound of Gi-Gi's voice saying "There's that happy baby!" when our sweet little girl came into her room.
