Birthdays

          This week was spent celebrating Chad's Birthday followed by mine.  Our sweet Buddy tried her hand at baking cookies for Daddy and brownies for Mommy.  She is quite a baker!  We spent our respective days at the zoo and Bernheim Forest near Bardstown.

          The 4th of July was spent enjoying the inside for most of the day as rain continued to fall.  The upside is that Chad's garden is flourishing.  We have enjoyed eating his cucumbers and watching the tomatoes and peppers begin to grow.

          Bugga has begun to eat solids with a bit more excitement this week as well.  She's not replacing any feedings yet, but she is kicking her legs and opening her mouth for more-especially when pears are involved!

          At the end of the week, Chad took a tumble when he was running.  He was running at a pretty good clip when the side of his foot stepped off of the edge of the sidewalk.  To make matters worse, he was 20 minutes away from home and hobbled all of the way back.  The swelling looked bad enough that we went to get it x-rayed.  Thank goodness it is only a sprain.  It's a pretty severe sprain, but it's not broken!
